About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Inspector to join our team at SAFEbuilt. As a Commercial Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring that construction projects meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform field inspections during various stages of construction to ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
- Read and examine plans and specifications to identify potential issues and ensure code compliance.
- Report violations and maintain accurate records of inspections and findings.
- Perform other related duties as required to support the success of our team.
Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of local building codes and current construction procedures/technology.
- Ability to interpret codes in the field and provide code-compliant solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good time management, organization, and attention to detail skills.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ICC Commercial Inspector certification(s) required.
- Additional ICC Inspector certifications preferred.
- Inspection experience preferred.
