Job Description

Visually inspect and check plastic parts. Reject and separate parts that don't meet standards due to quality, visual defects, color, burrs, chips, flashes, and cuts. Inform the inspection supervisor when parts do not meet quality standards. Use fixed gauges to test products including radial, plug, or thickness. Perform gauge inspections at a rate per hour. 100% of inspections will be visual or with gauges, and training will be provided for gauge use. Pack parts and items into boxes, inspect packaging dividers, and prevent damage to plastic parts based on size, shape, and color. The role requires lifting up to 20 lbs and the use of steel toe boots. The position is for the night shift from 8 PM to 4 AM, with a starting pay of $18.75 per hour. After a 90-day contract-to-hire period, you will become eligible for union benefits and receive a raise every year.

It is a smaller facility with relatively newer machinery and state-of-the-art equipment. The shop has around 25 employees and tends to be a little warmer due to being a smaller plastic manufacturer. The team gets along well.
