Job Title: Emergency Room Diversion ClinicianAbout the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Room Diversion Clinician to join our team at the Justice Resource Institute. As a key member of our Community-Based Services division, you will play a vital role in providing intensive support to at-risk youth and their families, helping to eliminate emergency room boarding and keep them safe at home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work intensively with individuals and/or families to assess their unique needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Provide a range of community-based services, including home and community-based family therapy, in-home therapy services, therapeutic training and support services, case management, crisis intervention, treatment planning, and assessments.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary treatment team to design and deliver interventions that enhance and improve family functioning and prevent the need for inpatient hospitalization or other treatment settings.
  • Develop a structured, consistent, strength-based therapeutic relationship between a clinician and the youth and family to treat behavioral health needs and promote healthy functioning within the family.
  • Provide culturally competent, trauma-informed, confidential clinical services that prioritize the needs of the young person.
  • Consult with collaterals, including schools and medical service providers.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or above in the mental health field, with licensure or license eligibility (LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT).
  • Ability to create and implement treatment/service plans that demonstrate a clear understanding of the client's cultural background.
  • Proven ability to form therapeutic relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Daily access to a reliable, insured vehicle and an active Driver's License.
  • Flexibility to maintain a flexible work schedule and participate in an on-call schedule.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical record software and basic computer functions, including the Microsoft Suite.
  • Clinical experience with children/adolescents, with familiarity with trauma-informed models of treatment preferred.
