Distribution Operations Manager (LDP)

The Assistant Manager within the Distribution Center is tasked with overseeing daily operations in their designated area. This includes performing supervisory and managerial responsibilities related to the receipt, storage, and distribution of both expendable and nonexpendable items.

· Accountable for recruitment, training, salary management, performance evaluations, coaching, mentoring, and corrective measures for team members. Collaborate with colleagues on professional development and goal setting. Act as a proponent of a supportive and empowering culture within the Distribution Center, engaging with team members to exemplify the company's core values.

· Strategically plan, monitor, and adjust staffing schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels that meet operational needs and business demands.

· Drive continuous improvement initiatives by actively listening to team feedback and customer insights, implementing effective root cause solutions.

· Identify and communicate evolving trends through analysis; collaborate with the team to foster an adaptable work environment that responds to change.

· Supervise slotting, efficiency/productivity, and inventory management within the functional area, working closely with other assistant managers and supervisors. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to these operations.

· Serve as a subject matter expert, collaborating with IT, Maintenance, Security, HR, and Inventory teams to ensure seamless daily operations.

· Uphold a safe and compliant workplace in accordance with the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, alongside adherence to regulatory compliance policies and quality control standards.

Program Structure: This is a three-year program tailored for veterans or individuals exiting military service. Assistant Managers in Training will rotate through various roles within the Distribution Center, Demand Planning, or Procurement, spending approximately 12-18 months in each area.
