CoolSys is seeking a skilled Refrigeration and HVAC/R Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service to our customers, ensuring their equipment is running efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Repair and overhaul refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment to ensure customer needs are met efficiently and accurately.
  • Provide general repair work on refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment, including air conditioning units, evaporative condensers, ice machine equipment, water pumps, gas furnaces, compressors, and electric motors.
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities for customers, diagnosing equipment malfunctions and operating deficiencies to ensure quality work performance.
  • Test malfunctioning systems and components using electrical and mechanical skills.
  • Maintain accurate records of work history and process job tickets and work orders promptly.
  • Provide support by picking up, delivering, and installing cases, and performing work on minor construction and remodeling projects.
  • Drive company vehicle safely and perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • EPA certification.
  • Certification from an accredited vocational-technical or trade school is a plus.
  • Minimum 3+ years of commercial refrigeration experience required.
  • Experience working on refrigeration equipment in convenience stores or supermarkets is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with single systems and rack systems, as well as previous work on display cases and walk-in boxes, is very helpful.
  • Good driving record and ability to work independently required.
  • Emergency on-call availability is a basic requirement.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. with no assistance and sit or stand for several hours at a time.
