Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage collaboratively with engineers and fellow survey professionals on civil engineering projects, site development, and transportation design.
  • Contribute to diverse projects including roadways, airports, railways, drainage systems, and site development.
  • Oversee and direct the activities of field crews to ensure efficient operations.
  • Evaluate boundary research and field surveys, including route and property surveys, as well as ALTA/NSPS surveys.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient understanding of the principles and tools used in computer-aided drafting.
  • Familiarity with civil engineering principles, construction specifications, plans, and relevant regulations.
  • Awareness of industry-specific safety practices and workplace principles.
  • Ability to manage office functions effectively, prioritize tasks, and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with team members and clients.
  • Willingness to travel locally within a 300-mile radius as required.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license is mandatory.

Educational Background and Experience:

  • Must hold a valid Professional Land Surveyor license.
  • Licensure in Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan is preferred, or the capability to obtain licensure in these states within six months of employment.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience is preferred.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to travel to various project locations.
  • Capability to access and navigate construction sites and job areas.
  • Proficiency in operating motorized equipment.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying field conditions.
