Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert HR guidance to leaders on complex employee issues, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
  • Lead the HR team and provide leadership and support to Human Resources Specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Conduct thorough employee investigations, make recommendations to management, and apply disciplinary action as necessary, consulting with legal counsel for employment law guidance.
  • Collaborate with the benefit consultant team and CFO to analyze and evaluate data, managing an attractive benefits package that supports the health and well-being of Freedom Motors' employees and their families.
  • Oversee group benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, employee education, and answering questions, ensuring a cost-effective benefits strategy while maintaining high-value benefits.
  • Manage leave policies, including FMLA, Short-Term & Long-Term disability, Worker's Compensation, and personal LOA, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Assist in tracking and reporting compliance with ADA, EEOC, OSHA, and MIOSHA, ensuring a safe and inclusive work environment.
  • Develop and implement performance management strategies, coordinating and tracking annual review processes and partnering with management on staffing strategies, succession planning, and workforce development.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and safety initiatives, driving a culture of excellence and innovation within the organization.
  • Attend Production and Parts weekly meetings to foster open communication and dialogue, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Report HR metrics and updates in Department Head weekly meetings, identifying opportunities for human resources practices to add value and drive successful organizational outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years human resources experience, with a strong track record of success in talent acquisition, workforce planning, and employee development.
  • HR Certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) a plus, demonstrating expertise and commitment to the field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times, handling highly sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Demonstrate initiative, willingness to take on greater challenges, and excellent analytical and multi-tasking skills, driving results-oriented solutions and continuous improvement.
