Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

InfuCare Rx Inc on behalf of itself and its subsidiaries is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in facilitating all phases of pharmacy compounding/dispensing while providing exceptional patient-centric service.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and collaborate with the healthcare team to provide exceptional value to our customers. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing patient-centric service, including regular interaction with caregivers, physicians, and other stakeholders.
  • Assisting the pharmacist with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies using appropriate techniques.
  • Performing basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain the correct dose of medication.
  • Demonstrating and incorporating principles of safety, sterile product processing, and infection control into daily activities.
  • Ensuring that a licensed pharmacist on duty properly checks all outgoing prescriptions prior to delivery and participating in patient outreach processes.
  • Assisting with the selection, packing, and delivery of specialty infusion products and services on a patient-specific basis.
  • Contacting patients, caregivers, and other stakeholders to determine health, supplies, or delivery matters and as needed.
  • Confirming delivery based on company protocols.
  • Assisting with recording and maintaining various pharmacy logs.
  • Ensuring that all pharmacy, preparation, and surfaces are maintained in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Adhering to appropriate safety and quality assurance practices and complying with state and federal laws.
  • Assisting with product purchasing, inventory, and equipment management.
  • Coordinating with suppliers and ensuring the correct drug products are received from the wholesale company if requested.
  • Verifying the accuracy of product orders received and checking prices against contract and in the schedule of charges.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A current and in-good-standing state license in the state of employment.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, including reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services and evaluating customer satisfaction.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to record and maintain pharmacy records and understand how to calculate and check for correct doses of medication.
Preferred Requirements:

We also welcome candidates with:

  • Experience working in a hospital pharmacy.
  • Experience with CPR+ Pharmacy Management System.
  • Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program certified as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or ICPhT.
Physical Demands:

This role requires the ability to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear, as well as use hands to operate vehicles and office equipment. Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 lbs may be required. Specific vision requirements include close, distance, and peripheral vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus.
