Job Description:

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our customers. Our pharmacy technicians are the backbone of our pharmacy team, working closely with pharmacists to ensure accurate and efficient dispensing of medications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in the dispensing of medications, including retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceuticals
  • Verify medication accuracy and check for potential interactions
  • Process prescriptions, including manual claims and third-party program services
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner

Requirements:

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment
  • Prefer good math skills and computer skills
