In this role, you will be responsible for the timely preparation and distribution of medications and IV solutions, including chemotherapeutic and biotherapeutic agents, within the oncology and infusion center, adhering to established guidelines, policies, and legal requirements. Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Compounding both hazardous and non-hazardous medications.
- Batch compounding of pharmaceutical products.
- Managing inventory and tracking medications.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Utilizing various pharmacy equipment and technology.
- Performing quality control tasks as assigned.
Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, you will execute functions related to the dispensing of chemotherapy, biotherapy, hazardous, and other medications. Additional responsibilities include:
- Providing coverage in pharmacy operations as needed.
- Properly dating and storing partial multi-dose vials and preparing injectables.
- Reviewing stock levels and ordering medications daily from vendors.
- Maintaining adequate supply levels and implementing cost-containment practices under the guidance of Pharmacy Management.
- Operating and maintaining specialized pharmacy equipment.
A strong foundation in pharmacy knowledge, including medication dosage forms, trade and generic names, and the preparation of sterile parenteral products using proper aseptic techniques, is essential. You should also possess a thorough understanding of medication order procedures within the pharmacy computer system.

Qualifications include:
- High School Diploma/GED (or higher) or equivalent education with at least 1 year of pharmacy experience.
- 1+ years of experience in Infusion/Oncology.
- Registration with the Board or application for registration upon completion of 1 year.
- Current MA Technician registration.
