The Certified Respiratory Care Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering comprehensive respiratory therapy services within a collaborative healthcare environment. This position involves administering a wide range of respiratory treatments and monitoring life support systems, ensuring optimal patient care.
Compensation and Benefits:
- New Hire Bonus: $13,000 for Evening/Night shifts, $8,000 for Day shifts
- Internal Colleague Transition Bonus: $5,000 for Evening/Night shifts
- Enhanced Shift Differentials
- Tuition Loan Repayment: Up to $9,000
- Weekend Rotation: Day shift every 6th weekend; Night shift every 5th weekend
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient-centered respiratory therapy utilizing advanced protocols.
- Engage in multidisciplinary teamwork to enhance patient outcomes in critical and acute care settings.
- Administer emergency respiratory care and critical care procedures in accordance with established guidelines.
- Conduct arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, along with various cardiopulmonary diagnostic tests as directed by physicians.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of patient treatment data and participate in departmental performance improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Education: Registered as a Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Health Professional Bureau.
- Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Required Certifications: ACLS/BLS, PALS, NRP, RRT.
Professional Development:
- Engage in ongoing education and training to enhance professional skills.
- Participate in the orientation and training of new staff members.
- Foster positive communication and relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
