Administrative Apprentice

The Fall River Public Schools is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an Administrative Intern. This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring administrator to gain hands-on experience and develop the skills necessary to succeed in a leadership role.

The Administrative Intern will work closely with an experienced building principal to develop and implement effective administrative practices. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in a comprehensive training program, complete coursework and professional development opportunities, and demonstrate proficiency in the Massachusetts Administrator Performance Standards.

• Assist the principal in the development and implementation of administrative policies and procedures
• Participate in a comprehensive training program to develop leadership and administrative skills
• Complete coursework and professional development opportunities to meet licensure requirements
• Demonstrate proficiency in the Massachusetts Administrator Performance Standards
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by the principal or the Superintendent of Schools

• BA/BS Degree, Masters Degree preferred
• Licensed as an educator within Massachusetts
• Excellent communication skills
• Prior experience working to support and work effectively with students and families

• At least an Initial license in another educational role and three full years employment in a district-wide, school-based, or other educational setting
• Three full years employment in an executive management/leadership role
• Three full years employment in a supervisory, teaching, or administrative role in a private or charter school, higher education, or other educational setting accepted by the Department of Education
