Key Responsibilities

As a Bartender, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional experience to our guests, whether they are enjoying a cocktail while shopping or dining with us.

Core Duties Include:

  • Create a Welcoming Environment: Greet all guests warmly with a friendly demeanor and offer personalized assistance with their food and beverage choices, while also addressing any retail inquiries.
  • Master the Menu: Acquire comprehensive knowledge of all food and beverage offerings, including ingredients, preparation techniques, and presentation. Engage in all relevant training sessions and apply the skills learned on the job.
  • Maintain the Oasis:
    • Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the point-of-sale system efficiently.
    • Ensure a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for both team members and guests.
    • Manage inventory levels of perishable items and spirits according to business needs, ensuring proper storage and care of all products.
    • Verify guests' identification when serving alcohol, adhering to all legal requirements.
  • Follow company policies and procedures diligently.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary to support the business.
Essential Qualifications
  • Must meet the minimum age requirement for serving alcoholic beverages.
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • At least 1 year of bartending or related experience in a full-service dining establishment.
  • Previous experience in guest service is preferred.
  • Current food handler's card and alcohol service certification as mandated by law.
  • A strong desire to learn about all products offered by Tommy Bahama.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling.
  • Occasional climbing of ladders.
  • Standing for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
  • Willingness to travel for training and support at other locations.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
