About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our development team at Janus Henderson Investors. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading by example, demonstrating technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver complex solutions that meet the needs of our investment and financial risk business areas.

This role requires hands-on development, adhering to our SDLC framework and practices. You will also perform additional duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead by example in a high-achieving development team
  • Work closely with Product Owners to understand development priorities and backlog items
  • Collaborate with Architects and Tech Leads to ensure solution alignment with our strategic architectural vision
  • Perform hands-on development, adhering to our SDLC framework and practices
Requirements

We are seeking an experienced professional with:

  • C# and .Net expertise, including knowledge of function apps and asynchronous programming
  • SQL and Data Warehousing expertise, including experience with Azure Synapse Analytics or similar data warehousing solutions
  • Python programming skills
  • At least 7 years' experience in a related role
  • Solid understanding of OOP and SOLID principles
  • Azure expertise, including knowledge of relevant services for application development, data storage, and management
  • Experience with micro-service development and API development
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies
  • Demonstrable ability to design and deliver complex systems at scale
  • Experience working with geographically dispersed development teams

Compensation Information

The estimated salary range for this position is $115,000 - $137,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
