Job Title: Travel MRI Technologist

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Siemens Healthineers. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing MRI examinations and providing high-quality patient care.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical radiography and a minimum of 2 years of experience in MRI clinical settings. You will be working with Siemens equipment and will be required to maintain current Permits to Practice in all states where services are performed.

Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI diagnostic imaging procedures on patients of all ages, adhering to department procedures and protocols.
  • Locate and record internal body elements, identifying any anomalies indicative of disease, injury, or other medically significant conditions.
  • Adjust equipment and calm patients to eliminate test artifacts.
  • Monitor patients for potentially dangerous physical and emotional changes.
  • Evaluate test results for clarity and accuracy.
  • Review tests with peers and physicians.
  • Inform physicians of preliminary findings as requested.
  • Distribute completed test results to physicians and service providers.
  • Prepare diagnostic information for physician interpretation.
  • Maintain patient charts, enter diagnosis and billing codes, log data into patient information systems, and update file systems for tests performed.
  • Clean and sterilize equipment and workspace.
  • Recognize equipment malfunctions and adjust equipment or write referrals for repair.
  • Instruct patients in pretest preparation, answer questions, and explain procedures.
  • Comply with Siemens, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain equipment according to Infection Control procedure.
  • Maintain technical competency through continued education and participation in Siemens training programs.
  • Administer contrast agents under the guidance and approval of site Radiologist, following site-specific protocols.
  • Perform equipment quality checks and troubleshoot problems.
  • Call for service and notify pertinent team members.
  • Follow quality assurance guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Requirements
  • Clinical Radiographer background with a minimum of 2 years MRI clinical experience required.
  • Siemens equipment experience required.
  • Valid ARRT license, registered in MRI.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to interact with client personnel and team members in an autonomous, responsible, professional, and ethical manner.
  • Must be flexible, reliable, and demonstrate sound judgment and initiative.
