Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist PRN to join our team at AtlantiCare. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic testing according to established departmental procedures, ensuring the delivery of quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate diagnostic equipment, including peripheral equipment, in a safe and efficient manner to obtain optimal test results.
  • Manage patients during diagnostic procedures to meet quality patient care standards.
  • Ensure supplies are maintained and report problems with equipment to the appropriate staff member.
  • Participate in performance improvement efforts and demonstrate a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.
Requirements
  • Licensed by the State of New Jersey, Department of Environmental Protection for all modalities except ultrasound. ARDMS is required for ultrasound.
  • Graduate of an accredited radiological technologist school required.
  • 1 year diagnostic testing experience preferred.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
  • Registry or Registry Eligible American Registry of Radiology Technologist. If registry eligible at time of hire, registration is required within 90 days.
Work Environment

The Diagnostic Technologist will work in a fast-paced environment with potential exposure to hazards and risks of the hospital environment, including exposure to infectious disease, blood-borne pathogens, potential injury, and hazardous substances, including electromagnetic radiation.

The position requires the ability to stand a majority of the time, with the ability to sit in front of a CRT monitor for extended periods when performing MRIs. The technologist will also be required to lift up to 50 pounds and push, pull, and lift patients as needed.
