Role Summary:As a Lead Application Engineer specializing in Financial Systems, you will be responsible for the configuration and upkeep of our Enterprise application, specifically the OneStream platform. Your role will encompass a variety of tasks including the automation of data loads, the development of new reports and dashboards, and collaboration with stakeholders to gather requirements while facilitating the consolidation and month-end closing processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Work closely with enterprise applications team members and finance stakeholders to clarify end-user requirements and define functionality specifications for OneStream.
- Engage in OneStream application development, which includes creating business rules, forms, workflows, cube views, and member formulas.
- Construct and manage data integrations, transformations, and automations utilizing APIs or other relevant technologies.
- Oversee scenario maintenance and perform administrative tasks to prepare for essential business cycles, such as budgeting and planning.
- Lead root cause analysis to identify problems and document their sources and resolutions.
- Analyze error trends to implement long-term solutions.
- Develop detailed configuration parameters, custom extensions, workflows, and integration solutions while ensuring governance for consistent standards.
- Design new dashboards for tracking key metrics and modify existing OneStream solutions based on user specifications.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses to support various non-standard reporting inquiries and activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 8 years of experience in a related domain (Finance, Accounting, Business, IT, etc.).
- Alternatively, a master's degree with up to 5 years of experience, or 10 years of experience in a related field without a degree.
- Proficiency with OneStream or other Financial Management/Planning tools.
- Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively across teams.
- Advanced skills in financial analysis and data analysis.
- Experience in financial modeling using Power BI and other reporting tools.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, financial planning, and budgeting.
- Ability to adapt to changes in alignment with organizational needs.
- Demonstrated ownership, self-starter mentality, and meticulous attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree in a related discipline (Finance, Accounting, Business, IT, etc.) is strongly preferred.
- SQL scripting and data analysis capabilities.
- Familiarity with SDLC practices.
