Job Overview

We are in search of a proactive and skilled Superintendent to oversee our projects within New Jersey. This pivotal role involves managing all on-site construction operations for intricate, high-stakes technical projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise all on-site construction activities for life science projects, ensuring timely completion, adherence to budget, and compliance with project specifications.
  • Coordinate and direct the efforts of all on-site personnel, including subcontractors and consultants, to guarantee high-quality workmanship and alignment with project plans.
  • Establish and uphold rigorous quality control measures, identifying and addressing any issues or discrepancies promptly.
  • Facilitate effective communication with all stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and team members, to ensure a clear understanding of project progress and any potential challenges.
  • Provide strong leadership to the project team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and practices, maintaining a secure work environment at all times.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings, delivering detailed reports and updates to project management.
  • Address any on-site challenges or conflicts, utilizing strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Continuously evaluate and manage project risks, implementing necessary mitigation strategies.

Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction sector, with specific expertise in life science or other technical projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in quality control, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of effectively conveying information to a diverse array of stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership capabilities, with experience in guiding and managing teams towards successful project completion.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations, particularly related to life science facilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Proficient in construction management software and technology.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
