Job Title: Orthopedic Nurse Specialist

UCHealth is seeking a skilled Orthopedic Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide top-notch patient care and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes.

Job Summary:

The Orthopedic Nurse Specialist will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing direct patient care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing practice, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides direct patient care, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, and implement patient care.
  • Collaborates with the healthcare team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.
  • Prioritizes wellness, patient perspective, and evidence-based practice.
  • Models proficiency through precepting new team members.
  • Contributes to a safe and quality-focused work environment.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program.
  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • 6 months of nursing (RN) experience.
  • BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.
