Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated professional to work in our Level One Trauma Center, offering a 12-hour night shift schedule with variable shifts per month. The successful candidate will provide critical care services to patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgery, including VADS (ventricular assist devices) support, some procedural assistance, and comprehensive patient rounding.

As a Critical Care Cardiothoracic Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with complex medical needs. Your expertise and specialization in cardiothoracic critical care will be invaluable in our fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert patient care to high-acuity cardiothoracic patients
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective patient care plans
  • Perform VADS support and some procedural assistance as needed
  • Conduct comprehensive patient rounding to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a Board Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or physician assistant with a strong background in cardiothoracic critical care. Your exceptional clinical skills, combined with your ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, will make you an ideal candidate for this position.
