Facility Operations Engineer

About the Role

As a Facility Operations Engineer at CBRE, you will play a crucial role in overseeing, maintaining, and enhancing the functionality of building systems. Your responsibilities will encompass various domains including plumbing, electrical systems, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire safety, and control systems.
  • Ensure that all facility and building systems comply with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Implement and manage an energy efficiency program to optimize system performance.
  • Assist in developing a preventive maintenance strategy to extend the lifespan of building machinery and systems.
  • Respond to emergency repair requests as necessary.
  • Adhere to safety protocols for the storage, use, and disposal of hazardous materials, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Inspect building systems such as fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to verify operational efficiency and compliance with design specifications.
  • Utilize your expertise to tackle complex tasks and provide innovative solutions.
  • Mentor team members and share your extensive knowledge across various disciplines.
  • Exemplify CBRE's core values and work collaboratively to achieve consensus.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma, along with 4-5 years of relevant experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a diploma.

Preferred qualifications include Universal CFC certification and any additional certifications or licenses required by local jurisdictions.

Physical requirements include the ability to perform tasks such as stooping, standing, walking, climbing, and lifting/carrying loads of 50 lbs or more.

Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are essential.
