Job Summary:

The non-CDL Driver will efficiently stock their 26' box truck and safely deliver products to our field tower crews in a timely and professional manner.

Candidates for this position will be driving and delivering items for our construction crews in the Columbus OH area. Candidates will also be cross-trained in the warehouse for general warehouse duties when not delivering.

Responsibilities:

  • Operates a 26' ft box truck according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • Transports loads safely and in a timely manner obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations.
  • Ability to maneuver truck into loading and unloading areas.
  • Assists with loading and unloading of materials, using specialized equipment when warranted; unloads empty skids and returns all equipment to designated area.
  • Performs a VIR- vehicle inspection report on a monthly basis.
  • Responsible for general organization of truck and cleanliness of truck both in and out.
  • Conscientious regarding the safety of him/herself at times as well as the safety of every other crew member or individual on the job site.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license in good standing and ability to pass a DOT Physical.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years driving 26' box trucks, warehouse experience strong desired.
  • Experience using fork truck, order picker and hand trucks.
  • Show up for work daily and on time.
  • Experience with a forklift desired, but not required.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Dependable, reliable and has the ability to prioritize.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • Ability to use GPS.
  • Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state department(s) of transportation regulations.

Working Conditions:

  • Prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to travel frequently.
  • Environmental Conditions exposure is heat, cold, dust, wet, vibration and loud noise.
