Job Responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Inspector I to join our Infrastructure team in the greater Georgia area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for inspecting construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and established procedures. Your tasks will include:

  • Preparing and submitting accurate testing and inspection reports daily.
  • Reviewing plans, specifications, and shop drawings before performing assigned duties.
  • Training to perform field tests on materials and completed work using standard methods and equipment.
  • Solving mathematical problems requiring addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and exponentiation.
  • Ensuring safe utilization and maintenance of documents and tools.
  • Contacting direct reports for priorities and deadlines, updating them on progress and delays.
  • Carrying out assigned duties in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintaining certifications and collecting, preparing, and transmitting samples to laboratories.
  • Meeting directed priorities and deadlines.
  • Maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external personnel.
  • Practicing safe usage and maintenance of company vehicles and field equipment.
  • Understanding, adhering to, and participating in Raba Kistner's Health & Safety and BBS Programs.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver's license and meet firm auto insurability requirements.

You should possess good oral and written communication skills and be able to work in teams at different levels within the organization. Preferred qualifications include completion of Troxler Manufacturing or equal radiation safety course, State specific Technician Training and Certification Program (TTCP), ACI Field Testing Technician Level 1 certifications, and Microsoft Office skills.

Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $$45,000-$65,000 per year, depending on experience and location. This figure is based on national averages for similar positions in the industry.
