We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Night Shift Patient Care Technician to join our team at Memorial Healthcare System. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide basic patient care and support activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and eating.
- Monitor vital signs, perform EKG testing, and take blood glucose measurements as delegated by a Registered Nurse.
- Report any abnormal findings or changes in patient condition to nursing staff.
- Three (3) months of patient care experience demonstrating the ability to perform basic patient care or certification of completion from a formal training program.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and critical thinking skills.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
This role requires working in a fast-paced healthcare environment with a high level of patient interaction. You will be exposed to biological hazards, cytotoxic chemicals, and hazardous chemicals as part of your daily responsibilities.
