We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Extrusion Operator Trainee to join our team at Accredo Packaging in Sugar Land, TX.

Job Summary

The Extrusion Operator Trainee is responsible for the safe, quality, and efficient operation of our extrusion equipment. This is a night shift role that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with established safety policies and procedures.
  • Order and manage resin and packaging supplies.
  • Perform job setup and changeover procedures.
  • Operate and troubleshoot extruder equipment.
  • Conduct quality checks and report any nonconforming issues.
  • Record and track production output and scrap.
  • Label and package output and scrap rolls.
  • Transport material using a walkie.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including screen changes and extruder blade replacements.
  • Clean and maintain the department in an orderly fashion.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with web-based software and ERP systems required.
  • Basic math skills and ability to pass a New Hire Base Assessment Test.
  • Able to operate basic tools and measuring devices.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English to the extent necessary to effectively communicate and interpret instructions.
  • Operating experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • 12-hour shift work experience required.
