Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Monitoring Specialist to join our team at Select Medical. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the accuracy of electrocardiogram (ECG) interpretations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Continuously monitor patients' cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to alarms
  • Verify correct identification of basic rhythms, lethal rhythms, and artifacts
  • Maintain EKG monitor alarms and respond to all alarms as needed
  • Complete EKG interpretations, including rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QTI, QTc, ST segment, waveform alterations, and rhythm interpretation
  • Ensure strip interpretations are validated by a registered nurse
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred background as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Paramedic, or RN nursing student with EKG training
  • Ability to complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs and required competencies on education platform within 30 days of start date
