As an Emergency/Trauma Nurse with the United States Air Force, you will be part of a high-stress environment where swift and comprehensive care is crucial for patient survival. Working on bases worldwide, you will rapidly make lifesaving decisions every day, utilizing your medical expertise to treat patients and ensure their safe return to their families.
Requirements
You must meet several requirements before joining the Air Force, including a bachelor's or master's degree in nursing from a school accredited by the NLN or CCNE. Additionally, you must have a minimum of 12 months of full-time nursing practice, with a strong emphasis on knowledge of nursing principles and practices. You are also encouraged to have six months of experience in a specific specialty and must complete the Officer Training School course. Finally, you must be between the ages of 18 and 47.
