Key Responsibilities for the Floor Maintenance Specialist:
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for residents in alignment with Resident Care Policies and Procedures.
- Work effectively under the guidance of the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Adapt to changes in shift assignments to fulfill facility requirements.
- Maintain clean flooring through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
- Utilize steam-cleaning or shampoo equipment on carpets.
- Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors as necessary.
- Keep work areas free from hazards and maintain cleanliness.
- Carefully mix water and cleaning agents according to specified guidelines.
- Adhere to a regular maintenance schedule and conduct unscheduled clean-up as required.
- Address family satisfaction concerns promptly and professionally.
- Assist in the orientation of new staff, demonstrating a positive, helpful, and enthusiastic demeanor.
