Responsibilities:
The Mixology Specialist serves as the initial point of contact for guests, ensuring a positive experience before they reach their tables.

As a bartender at Hard Rock Cafe, you will embody the roles of tour guide, communicator, entertainer, decision-maker, memorabilia curator, and musician at heart.

Key responsibilities include:

- Crafting beverages according to established recipes.

- Ensuring responsible alcohol service.

- Serving food items.

- Managing cash and various payment methods.

- Conducting efficient sales transactions using a point-of-sale system.

- Properly verifying identification for guests who appear under 30 years old.

- Maintaining accurate cash drawer balances.

- Guiding guests to various areas and restrooms.

- Demonstrating extensive product knowledge.

- Utilizing suggestive selling techniques.

- Keeping the bar area clean and organized.

- Maintaining appropriate inventory levels through bar pulls and stock checks.

- Properly labeling, dating, covering, and refrigerating prepped items for the bar.

- Ensuring the cleanliness of equipment, utensils, and glassware through proper sanitization.

- Performing opening, closing, and side duties, including setting up and breaking down the bar, cleaning surfaces, and maintaining the floor.

- Addressing guest inquiries accurately and courteously.

- Creating memorable experiences for guests.

- Engaging and entertaining guests to foster "Raving fans".

Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION

- High School diploma or GED equivalent.

- A minimum of 2 years of high-volume bartending experience is required.

- In certain U.S. states, completion of a food safety certification program may be necessary before serving food or alcohol, which may include a food handlers card (e.g., California law requires this).
SKILLS
- Ability to remain composed in a fast-paced environment.

- High level of organization, attention to detail, and sense of urgency.

- Positive and friendly demeanor towards guests.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS


- Capability to move throughout the corporate office and cafes during visits (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods.
- Ability to sit for prolonged durations.

- Capacity to perform repetitive movements of the arms, hands, and wrists.

- Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.

- Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work with hands above shoulders.

- Ability to occasionally lift, push, pull, balance, or carry objects weighing up to 10 pounds.

- Ability to turn or twist body parts in a circular motion.

- Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and a loud/noisy environment.

- Ability to travel via automobile or airplane for extended periods.
