Job Title: Nurse (LVN or RN)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Nurse (LVN or RN) to join our team at the Polk Mental Health Clinic in Livingston, TX. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality nursing services to our clients, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing services to clients, including tracking and administering medications, lab tracking, and completing nursing assessments.
  • Oversee the indigent medication program and complete refills for prescriptions, insurance prior authorizations, and answer patient phone questions.
  • Inventory medications, provide patient education, and document patient information.
  • Coordinate drug representative visits and supervise non-licensed medical support staff, as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and licensure as a Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse by the Texas State Board of Nursing examiners.
  • Preferred experience working with individuals with mental illness in an inpatient or community setting.
  • Valid Texas driver's license and a clean driving record, insurable by Burke's insurance administrator.
Working Conditions:

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The position requires prolonged standing and/or sitting, walking, bending, or kneeling, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

The work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., with a competitive salary range of $43,056 - $56,650 annually, depending on licensure and experience.
