Position Summary
The Process Equipment Engineer II will deliver engineering services related to fabrication and characterization processes within a research or academic setting. This role involves regular interaction with faculty, staff, students, and external partners, providing guidance and support in various engineering initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design and Installation: Oversee the design and implementation of laboratory equipment and associated processes.
2. Performance Analysis: Conduct evaluations of laboratory equipment and process efficiency.
3. Engineering Input: Review and contribute to engineering specifications and plans for laboratory setups.
4. Troubleshooting: Address issues related to laboratory equipment, including calibration and repair tasks.
5. Documentation: Create detailed drawings, schematics, and documentation for laboratory equipment and processes.
6. Budget Management: Develop project budgets, manage purchases, and track expenditures.
7. Vendor Interaction: Communicate with suppliers regarding procurement and delivery matters.
8. Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: A minimum of three to four years of relevant professional experience is required.
Skills and Abilities
This position demands a high level of expertise in fabrication processes and equipment engineering principles. Familiarity with regulations, safety standards, and technical applications related to research laboratories is essential.
