We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to lead our project teams in creating world-class designs for various projects, including aerospace, power, process, corporate, healthcare, pipeline, airports, industrial, manufacturing, government, and military facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead process design teams from conceptual phase to design completion, adapting plans according to budget constraints, design factors, or client needs.
  • Prepare process chemical specifications, data sheets, RFQs, technical bid summaries, and purchase recommendations.
  • Review equipment vendor drawings, interface with suppliers, clients, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Participate in project schedule, scope, budget, staffing, and construction planning, managing change orders effectively.
  • Apply expert knowledge of process concepts, practices, codes, and procedures within the process engineering services industry.
  • Develop non-standard design solutions for complex projects.
  • Quality review production drawings and project-related data to ensure corrections are made in multiple CAD software.
  • Coordinate with field personnel to resolve design-related installation issues, calculations, field inspections, and testing of process systems.
  • Lead field inspections, installation, measurements, or calculations for public and private clients.
  • Prepare and present technical reports for clients and industry publications.
  • Build relationships with existing clients, customers, and contractors, developing new business opportunities and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in sales and marketing efforts, identifying key pursuits.
  • Develop cost proposals and qualification statements to achieve financial performance targets and standards.
  • Prepare and present project budgets and cost estimates, reporting project performance.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to the process engineering practice, mentoring and guiding less experienced engineers.
  • Ensure QA/QC process adherence and effective communication with other engineering disciplines.
  • Comply with company and site safety policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering or related degree from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Or Bachelor of Science in Chemical or related Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program and successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
  • Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering a plus.
  • 7 years of process engineering experience, with EPC project experience preferred.
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred.
  • Expert knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures, strong knowledge of process design codes (ASME, ANSI, API, PIP, NACE).
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and process simulation software (i.e., Hysys and/or Aspen, HTRI).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience leading the discipline design for large projects, delegating work tasks to team members, and resolving issues in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform quality reviews for detailed engineering documents and specifications.
  • Ability to travel.
