Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system at The University of Chicago Medicine as a Nurse Associate (RN) with our Heart/Vascular Clinic. In this role, you will partner with the clinical team to provide patients with the highest quality of care.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate diagnostic and therapeutic regimens for a specified group of patients.
- Maintain cohesiveness between clinical research, physicians, and patients.
- Coordinate physician activities with referring physicians, nursing staff, hospital administration, ancillary services, support services, insurance companies, and other departments/agencies as needed.
- Assist physicians with a wide range of activities necessary to manage clinical research programs.
- Function as a liaison between physicians, patients, and families.
- Assist physicians with bedside procedures and provide patient care in the clinic as necessary.
- Must have experience working in a community health setting.
- Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN degree or higher preferred.
- Must be an actively licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois.
- Must have a minimum of two years' experience working as an RN.
- Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
