Position Overview:
The custodial team plays a crucial role in maintaining the facility's cleanliness standards, ensuring an exceptional experience for guests before, during, and after events. Team members are expected to demonstrate their ability to fulfill the essential duties of the role, with or without reasonable accommodations, and to arrive punctually for each scheduled shift, fully prepared to engage in their responsibilities.

Compensation and Benefits:
This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $14 to $16. Full-time employees are eligible for benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, and paid time off encompassing vacation days, sick leave, and recognized holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Punctually report for each scheduled shift, ready to perform assigned tasks.
  • Execute both light and heavy cleaning duties, which include sweeping, mopping, and waste disposal.
  • Sanitize common areas, restrooms, meeting rooms, exhibit halls, and ballrooms.
  • Utilize various cleaning equipment such as riding and push-behind scrubbers, floor buffers, and vacuum cleaners.
  • Restock restroom supplies as necessary.
  • Manage inventory and maintain custodial closets and supply rooms with cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Comply with Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) guidelines.
  • Work efficiently and safely to meet all operational deadlines.
  • Maintain a friendly and positive demeanor while interacting with guests.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in cleaning or event-related roles is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment operation is required.
  • Ability to handle scrubbers, buffers, and carpet extractors effectively.
  • Willingness to work morning, afternoon, and/or overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, kneel, stoop, climb stairs, and perform repetitive motions associated with cleaning tasks.
  • Competence in following verbal and written instructions, particularly regarding cleaning products and MSDS.
