Job Summary

USA Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and organize operating room equipment, instruments, and supplies for various surgical procedures.
  • Maintain aseptic conditions and ensure a sterile environment for patients during procedures.
  • Anticipate surgeon and patient needs during procedures and provide necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment.
  • Participate in intraoperative "timeout" to ensure patient safety.
  • Count sponges, instruments, and other items at appropriate times during procedures.
  • Utilize safety measures such as safety belts, positioning devices, and alarms.
  • Take care of specimens, prepare, check, and monitor medications, and assist with dressings.
  • Use correct body mechanics to move, transport, and position patients, stretchers, and/or tables.
  • Follow relevant safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Participate in orientation and education of operating room staff.
  • Stock and restock medical supplies.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a scrub technician training course.
