Job Title: Senior Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our team at SafeworkCM. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing project management activities, including design and construction of new and modernization projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize, and direct project management activities, including design and construction of new and modernization projects.
  • Resolve complex construction project-related issues, disputes, and disagreements.
  • Follow and successfully execute program Quality Management System.
  • Report and collaborate with clients on all project matters.
  • Review and develop contract documents in coordination with others.
  • Identify risk and create risk mitigation plans successfully.
  • Document and report all project data accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Create and present project data clearly to multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Successfully manage and execute the design and/or construction of multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Coordinate budget and schedule information with the Relocation Project Manager regarding FF&E, Asset Disposition/Surplus, and Relocation.
  • Manage and coordinate the planning and design phase of projects with all stakeholders, including end-user groups, Board of Directors, Local Government, District staff, PMO staff, and others.
  • Evaluate, assess, process, and manage change order and professional services requests in a timely manner.
  • Track all project status and provide management reports relative to overall program relative to construction project delivery schedules.
  • Track status and provide management reports relative to scheduling, cost control, staffing, and other related construction contract requirements.
  • Review and inspect construction site offices to assess performance of construction teams and adherence to legal requirements.
  • Review recommended actions in resolving disputes relative to construction projects.
  • Direct and assist in outreach efforts to provide information about education projects.
Requirements:
  • 10 years' experience in management of multiple design and construction projects.
  • Experience with large capital improvement programs and familiarity with relevant public codes.
  • BA or BS in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field.
  • Experience utilizing BIM.
  • Knowledge of all parts of the project life cycle, including master planning, design, and closeout.
  • Experience in alternative delivery methods.
  • Experience with using a web-based project management system.
  • Experience in LEED certified projects and/or CHPS.
  • AIA or PE or CCM.
