JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Chief Operations Officer will directly report to the Division President. This individual will be accountable for the comprehensive oversight and management of the division's operational activities, ensuring client satisfaction and performance metrics are met. The COO will oversee the budgeting process and monitor monthly financial performance, including revenue and expenditures. This role is pivotal in fostering a positive workplace culture among both stateside and offshore team members. Furthermore, the COO is expected to collaborate effectively with the sales team to secure necessary resources that align with new client requirements. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential, as this position will engage with all organizational levels and client partnerships.
REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong communication and follow-up abilities, serving as the primary contact for management and staff. A solid foundation in analytical skills and operational assessment is necessary to keep senior leadership informed. This role demands a high degree of independence and self-direction, along with organizational skills to ensure that performance and projects remain on track. Given the sensitive nature of discussions, confidentiality is paramount.
DUTIES:
- Oversee daily operational activities for the division.
- Achieve or surpass departmental performance, financial, and engagement objectives.
- Maintain direct communication with key clients, overseeing all client meetings, outcome evaluations, and presentation materials.
- Manage and support all associates and leaders, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Evaluate priorities and assignments, ensuring timely completion of work while analyzing weekly statistics and workflow.
- Ensure the accuracy and currency of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and operational documentation.
- Conduct annual performance evaluations for all direct reports.
- Oversee audit and quality assurance processes.
- Maintain monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as required.
- Ensure compliance with current HIPAA regulations and compliance procedures, reporting any known risks to the compliance team.
- Assist in training new employees with ongoing monitoring and auditing.
Experience:
3-4 years of managerial experience in Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) is required.
5-10 years of knowledge across various RCM functions is essential.
Experience in Behavioral Health is mandatory.
Education:
A college degree is required, or equivalent experience in a healthcare or business-related field.
