Orthopedic Physician Assistant

The Orthopedic Physician Assistant will provide high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting, working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering compassionate care to patients with musculoskeletal conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including history and physical examinations, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory and radiological studies, to inform treatment decisions.
- Prescribe and manage medications, including controlled substances, to optimize patient outcomes.
- Perform a range of procedures, including wound closure, joint injections, and orthopedic surgeries, under the supervision of a physician.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between healthcare settings.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health literacy and self-management skills.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or eligible for certification.
- State licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA) or eligible for licensure.
- 2+ years of experience as a Physician Assistant in an orthopedic setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
