Job Title: Cleaning Staff

The Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of the store.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow established cleaning procedures to ensure a high level of cleanliness and organization in the store.
  • Adhere to the cleaning department's work schedules and protocols.
  • Provide exceptional customer service through cleaning practices and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Stay up-to-date on the cleaning department's MSDS sheets and follow proper procedures for handling chemicals and supplies.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, bathrooms, and other high-touch areas using established practices and procedures.
  • Replenish restroom dispensers and maintain a clean and well-stocked supply of cleaning materials.
  • Perform carpet shampooing and other specialized cleaning tasks as requested.
  • Clean, dust, and wipe down store furniture, arcades, and equipment; sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, empty and clean wastebaskets and trash containers.
  • Operate and maintain assigned cleaning equipment and hand tools, including scrubbers, extractors, washers, brooms, mops, and squeegees.
  • Wash walls and glass surfaces, and use ladders when required in work assignments.
  • Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Move furniture, equipment, supplies, and tools on an incidental basis.
  • Wash accessible interior and exterior windows.
  • Responsible for the laundering of cleaning rags and dust mops.
  • Stay informed on the company's policies and procedures as they relate to the Facility Department.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Facilities Manager and Regional Cleaning Specialist.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of six months to one year of experience in a bowling, entertainment, retail, or hospitality environment.
  • Experience in a cleaning environment, preferably in a bowling or game center establishment.
  • Customer service experience in a similar or comparable work environment, with strong verbal communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Previous experience in retail/restaurant or customer service environments is required.
Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a bowling center/arcade environment where high levels of noise, dust, and activity can be expected. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, stretch, twist, climb, and have a high level of mobility/flexibility in small spaces. The employee is required to stand and walk for extended periods of time without breaks during busy times. In addition, the employee will need to be able to use their hands/fingers to handle feel and reach with hands and arms. Lifting and/or moving up to 100 lbs with assistance is required.
