Job Summary:

United Hospital Center is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Prepare patients for MRI procedures, including explaining the procedure and positioning them correctly.
  • Conduct MRI procedures in a safe and efficient manner, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient procedures and images.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advances in MRI technology and imaging techniques.

Requirements:

  • ARRT (MR) certification required.
  • General Certification Requirements: BLS.
  • Experience in Routine Neuro, MSK, and Abdominal Imaging.
  • Speciality imaging includes cardiac, prostate, and breast.
  • Must be able to start IV's if applicable to the department.

Work Schedule:

  • Weekday shift is 8:30 AM to 10:30 PM.
  • Weekend shift is 6:30 AM to 8:30 PM.
  • No self-scheduling.
  • One position will be a full weekend, another will be weekday.

Unit Specific Information:

  • Average number of scans/studies per day: Weekday average 52, Weekend average 27.
  • EMR/PACS: EPIC and Synapse.
  • Department Specific Equipment: Siemens.
  • No use of Registered Radiology Assistants (RRAs).
