Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at United Hospital Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to produce high-quality images for patient diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images for patient diagnosis and treatment
  • Prepare patients for MRI procedures, including explaining the process and positioning them correctly
  • Monitor patients during procedures and ensure their safety and comfort
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate records of patient procedures and images
Requirements
  • ARRT (MR) certification required
  • General Certification Requirements: BLS
  • Experience in Routine Neuro, MSK, and Abdominal Imaging
  • Speciality imaging includes cardiac, prostate, and breast
  • Must be able to start IV's if applicable to the department
Work Schedule

Weekday shift is 8:30 AM to 10:30 PM, and weekend shift is 6:30 AM to 8:30 PM. No self-scheduling.

  • Average number of scans/studies per day: Weekday average 52, Weekend average 27
  • EMR/PACS: EPIC and Synapse
  • Department Specific Equipment: Siemens
  • No use of Registered Radiology Assistants (RRAs)
