Role Overview:
The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for conducting assessments, providing treatment, and evaluating care for patients experiencing cognitive, speech, language, voice, and fluency challenges.

Building trust and cooperation with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals is essential through thorough patient evaluations, attentive care, and effective communication.

Compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures is required to ensure patient privacy and safety while delivering the highest quality of care. This role also includes assisting in the clinical supervision of assistants and aides, as well as serving as a clinical instructor for students assigned to the position.

Educational Requirements:
Master's Degree:
Graduation from an accredited speech pathology program is required.

Experience Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years of recent relevant experience is preferred.
Certification & Licensure:
Must hold a valid SP-Licensed Speech Pathologist certification and BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.

Skills and Competencies:
Demonstrated critical thinking and complex problem-solving abilities, along with sound judgment and the capacity to work independently. Knowledge of professional practice standards and regulatory requirements is essential. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines is crucial. Proficiency in computer technology and required competencies is expected.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong interpersonal abilities, conflict resolution skills, teamwork, collaboration, customer service, and community relations expertise are vital. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development is essential.

Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $55.57 to $69.46 per hour. Please note that the salary range may vary based on location and other factors, including experience, education, skills, licensure, and departmental needs. Base pay is one component of the comprehensive rewards program offered by Sutter Health, which may also include a benefits package.
