**Key Responsibilities**

  • Interpret and fill written prescriptions issued by physicians and other qualified prescribers, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Enter drug orders into computer profiles and maintain accurate records of medication dispensing.
  • Dispense medications to inpatients in accordance with established policy and procedures.
  • Document non-formulary drug approvals, restricted drug approvals, and unusual medication orders.
  • Review medication orders for completeness, interactions, and incompatibilities/inconsistencies, and consult with prescribers as necessary.
  • Report prescription discrepancies to leadership and document unusual medication orders in the intervention log.
  • Compound intravenous admixtures and parenteral mixtures.
  • Maintain accurate records of controlled drug dispensing, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Initiate computer-generated labels and maintain records/statistics as required.
  • Order medications and supplies, and receive and check them for accuracy.

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy degree required.
  • Current license to practice as a Pharmacist in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience required.

**Additional Information**

The salary range for this position is $105,400-$183,000/year. Northwell Health is an equal employment opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates.
