Job Summary:

Columbus Technical College is seeking a qualified individual to serve as an adjunct instructor in our Barbering Department. This position is responsible for teaching various aspects of barbering, including haircutting and styling, skin and scalp care, facials, and shaving techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instruct students in all areas of barbering, including haircutting and styling, skin and scalp care, facials, and shaving techniques.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans for classroom and lab instruction.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide feedback.
  • Supervise students in the lab and ensure a safe and secure learning environment.
  • Attend staff development training, workshops, and conferences to stay current with industry developments.
  • Participate in recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts.
  • Maintain program certification requirements and ensure compliance with state standards.

Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A State of Georgia Master Barbering License.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of recent experience in the field as a barber or barber instructor.
  • Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A degree from an accredited college or university.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary is commensurate with experience.
