The North Carolina Army National Guard is seeking highly skilled professionals to join our team as Unit Supply Specialists. This rewarding role requires a unique blend of organizational, analytical, and communication skills. As a Unit Supply Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining all Army National Guard supplies and equipment.
Job DescriptionIn this role, you will oversee the receipt, inspection, inventory, loading, unloading, storing, issuing, and delivering of supplies and equipment. You will also be responsible for maintaining automated supply systems, securing and controlling weapons and ammunition, scheduling and performing preventive and organizational maintenance on weapons, and operating unit-level computers.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo succeed in this position, you must possess a strong understanding of procedures for shipping, receiving, storing, and issuing stock, as well as stock control and accounting procedures. You should also have experience with handling medical and food supplies, movement, storage, and maintenance of ammunition. Additionally, you should have an interest in mathematics, bookkeeping, accounting, business administration, and/or typing, and be able to keep accurate records.

We estimate that non-prior service candidates will earn between $200 and $250 per drill weekend, subject to change. To be eligible for this role, you must meet certain requirements, including military enlistment in the Army National Guard, being at least a junior in high school or having a high school diploma or GED certificate, being between the ages of 17 and 35, passing a physical exam and meeting legal and moral standards, and meeting citizenship requirements.
