About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fresh Food Specialist to join our team at Walmart. As a key member of our wholesale operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective production of fresh bakery items for our members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be a Team Player: Collaborate with other associates to build a strong bakery team, communicate effectively, and be flexible to meet the needs of the business.
  • Be an Expert: Prepare bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment, following recipes and make-up instructions, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards and sanitation guidelines.
  • Be a Problem Solver: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement, while adapting to new tools and encouraging others to use them.
  • Be an Owner: Ensure commitment to operational excellence, maintain a clean and organized work area, and ensure quality and date control standards for bakery items.
  • Be a Customer Advocate: Provide exceptional customer service to members, answer questions, and ensure a positive shopping experience.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in a bakery or food production environment preferred
