Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Counter Sales Associate to join our team at Baker Distributing Company. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and driving sales growth in our wholesale HVAC distributorship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent Baker Distributing Company as a leader in the industry, ensuring maximum sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders, including sales teams, vendors, and contractors, to drive sales and business growth.
  • Responsible for showroom merchandising and re-stocking product, ensuring a visually appealing and well-organized sales area.
  • Assist in resolving customer relations problems, providing timely and effective solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Complete sales order processes, utilizing suggestive selling techniques to up-sell associated items and drive revenue growth.
  • Service walk-in and telephone customers, sourcing and shipping parts, managing inventory control, and administering warranties.
  • Provide customer product and service needs by researching products via computer systems, catalogs, and other reference sources.
  • Arrange stock on shelves or racks in sales areas, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Apply sales and customer service skills to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong background in technical support, HVAC parts, and customer service/sales.
  • Intermediate MS Office capabilities and data entry skills.
  • Minimum 1+ year experience in a Counter Sales role, preferably in the HVAC industry.
  • Knowledge of air conditioning, heating, and ventilation equipment at a wholesale distribution level preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop long-term relationships with customers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong multitasking and time management skills.

  • May use equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.

Pay range: $21.00-$25.00
