Merit Technologies is seeking a dedicated full-time Level III Engineer with a strong background in Managed Service Provider (MSP) operations to enhance our team. As a Managed Service Provider based in Greenville, SC, we cater to a diverse range of technologies and clientele. Role Summary

A Systems Engineer III will collaborate with the MSP team to deliver high-level support to our clients. This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including project management and implementation, technical assistance, client training, and maintenance tasks. You will serve as the lead engineer for your designated team and clients, guiding fellow engineers in providing comprehensive support. Your duties will include planning, designing, and executing network and system engineering strategies of moderate complexity. A Systems Engineer III will also identify and develop client requirements for provisioning, inventory management, project execution, and needs assessments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Providing technical support either on-site or through phone and email communication
  • Troubleshooting a range of computer, server, and network issues
  • Maintaining, repairing, relocating, or handling computer equipment
  • Configuring computer networks while adhering to company standards and policies
  • Leading and motivating your team to excel and acquire new skills
  • Local travel within the metropolitan area may be required, along with occasional travel beyond the immediate region

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years in the IT sector is required, with a preference for Managed Service Provider (MSP) experience.
  • Language: Proficiency in English
  • Education Level: Bachelor's Degree is preferred
  • Field of Study: Engineering or a related discipline
  • Combination of education and experience is acceptable
