POSITION SUMMARY

The Sr. Manager IT – Finance Business Systems at STAAR Surgical is a pivotal role within the Information Technology team, focusing on the design, implementation, and support of IT solutions tailored for finance operations.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Deliver cost-effective analysis of business systems and applications to facilitate the development and deployment of finance-related applications.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and documentation of requirements, translating them into precise system specifications and configurations.
  • Define the scope and objectives of systems based on comprehensive understanding of user needs and industry standards.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and end-user departments to ensure effective communication and solution delivery.
  • Assess and articulate end-user needs to technical staff and vendors as necessary.
  • Understand the business implications of technical solutions and assist in documenting technology strategies to meet future business demands.
  • Provide training to end users on new technologies and enhancements, utilizing appropriate communication tools while also supporting existing systems.
  • Monitor application performance and restore services for users as needed.
  • Analyze application issues and coordinate practical solutions.
  • Participate in system software upgrades, including planning, scheduling, and deployment.
  • Ensure the availability and performance of systems through proactive and reactive maintenance strategies.
  • Lead the selection process for new systems, including gathering requirements, developing RFPs, and selecting software vendors.
  • Manage relationships with service providers and vendors supporting business systems.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Preferred: Undergraduate degree with 8-10 years of relevant experience or a Graduate degree with 6-8 years of relevant experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience with Oracle Cloud ERP in Finance modules and Oracle EPM.
  • 2+ years of IT management experience overseeing systems that support ERP, budgeting, finance reporting, business intelligence, HR, and expense management.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to ensure compliance with SOX computer systems.
  • Oversee ITGC elements of SOX compliance, coordinating with auditors for reviews.

SKILLS:
  • Expertise in business systems processes within the medical device manufacturing sector, including Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and Plan-to-Manufacture.
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle's Cloud ERP configuration for finance modules.
  • Ability to understand the impact of emerging business trends on STAAR Surgical and its clientele.
  • Strong mentoring capabilities for developing team members.
  • Proficient in commonly used SDLC methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile.
  • Experience leading large-scale or complex business systems upgrades and enhancements.
  • Ability to define cost and time estimates for implementation projects.
  • Provide Level 1 support for applications within the portfolio.

Compensation for this position ranges from $160K to $205K, depending on experience.
