Job Summary:

Mastech Digital is seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to join our team. As a Mainframe Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining business-critical applications on the mainframe platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain software applications on the mainframe platform using COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 & VSAM
  • Perform detailed analysis for maintenance and improvement projects in the batch and online environments
  • Deploy and support software releases into production environments
  • Employ data security skills to keep customers' information safe
  • Conduct unit, functional and regression testing

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 10+ years of experience in software development, specifically in mainframe development
  • Mainframe development expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 & VSAM
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $110,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a contract position with a duration of 12 months (possible extension). The client is located in Smithfield, RI, and the role is onsite/hybrid. We do not cover relocation expenses and prefer candidates who are local or willing to relocate. Please note that we can only consider candidates who can work on a W2 basis.
